How to clean your Fitbit band
To keep your Fitbit smartwatch in working shape, you must regularly clean your band. You should remember that you shouldn't use soap and cleaning wipes. Why, you ask? Because it may get underneath the strap, which will irritate your skin.
There are different ways to clean your Fitbit band, depending on the band's type of material.
- For leather bands, you have to use a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to clean them. You can lightly dampen the cloth with water. After cleaning the leather band, let it air indoors at room temperature. Note that high temperatures and direct sunlight will damage and discolor your band.
- For metal bands, you should only use a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. This band is not water- or sweat-resistant, so you shouldn't soak them in water. You can lightly dampen the cloth you're using for cleaning your band. Dry the band with a second cloth and ensure it is not exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
- Dry it thoroughly after. For elastomer bands, you can rinse them with water after your workouts together with your wrist. You can use soap-free cleansers on the band.
- For silicone sports bands, you can clean them the way you clean elastomer bands. It would help if you rinsed them regularly with water. You can also use soap-free cleansers on the band.
- For woven or knit bands, you can clean them with a bit of cold water with mild soap. Remember to rinse them properly and air-dry them after.

My family just bought me a new Fitbit Charge 6 bc my Charge 2 face is cracked. I have many interchangeable bands for my charge 2 that I love-is there any way I can use them on my charge 6?
I just bought Fitbit 5 Charge Tracker. Do not like the rubbery bands. Want dressier, mixed metal band. Are these Charge 5 trackers compatible with any other bands that fit Fitbit, 2,3,4 Charge trackers that have attractive bands?
I would like to know if the bands for the Inspire 2 and the new Inspire 3 coming up are interchangeable.
Is charge 2 strap compatible with model BTB409?
Please advise.
Thanks and regards
Can the Fitbit Charge 2 wristbands be used on any other fitbit? I am having to get a new fitbit but have three brand new bands.
